Carefree Kitchens, Inc. was founded in 1987 in Linthicum Heights, Maryland out of the back of a small hatchback car. Our founder could be found driving up and down I-95 and knocking on the doors of vendors, convincing them to take a chance on a small business with big potential. Originally operating as a wholesale only manufacturer for kitchen and bath cabinets and counters, we continued to grow and expand our product lines to include stock and semi-custom cabinets.
   In 1990 we opened our first (tiny) showroom and began selling to homeowners and local contractors. The showroom consisted of two kitchen displays and a few dozen sample doors. From those humble beginnings came growth, along with all the pains and stretching that comes along for the ride. We evolved, stretched, and expanded to include two showrooms, more than thirty displays, specialized vignettes, and hundreds of samples to help each of you build your dream space. We now represent more than ten of the most prestigious and prominent cabinetry manufacturers in the country. Our team of thirteen designers, with a combined design experience of more than 180 years, makes Carefree one of the most experienced cabinetry design firms in the region.
